About Us
Vision
Hingham Reformed Church has been serving the Hingham area since 1890. Our 600 members come from anywhere within a 15 mile radius of Hingham, including Plymouth, Sheboygan, and Freedonia. HRC is a big enough church to offer a wide variety of opportunities to grow in your faith, but small enough to be a loving and tight knit community modeled after Acts 2. We are a people passionate about God who try to model Christ's love to others. We take seriously our role of being "the only church in the 53031 zip code," and want to be a blessing to everyone in our community.

Worship
AM Worship: Sundays at 9AM:
Our service is focused on one thing: worshiping God. Our musical style varies from week to week, including contemporary songs led by our praise band and traditional hymns on our majestic pipe organ. We are also blessed by the gifts of our worship choir, bell choir, and large Junior Choir. Our services are focused on God's Word and feature a message each week that is both true to scripture and relevant to living life in the 21st century.
We invite you to worship with us any Sunday. We are a "come as you are" church, so no need to break out the dress or suit. A safe and well staffed nursery is provided for children under 3. Feel free to ask at the information booth when you arrive if you have any questions and join us for a cup of coffee and fellowship after worship.
Reformed Church in America
Hingham Reformed Church is part of the Reformed Church in America (RCA). The RCA has nearly 1,000 churches in the United States and Canada and is the oldest protestant denomination in the US. The RCA comes out of the Calvinist tradition and holds firmly to the authority of scripture, the soverignty of God, and the Holy Trinity. You can learn more about the RCA here.
What's Happening at HRC
High Shool Mission trip to Annville, KY
July 10th-17th 43 students and leaders from HRC traveled to Annville, KY to serve at Jackson County Ministries, a mission of the RCA. Over the course of the week God used us to build a new canoe and wood storage shed at Camp JCM, totally reconstruct a bathroom at a local home, and run a daycamp for over 50 local students. Our students also sought out the opportuity to reach out and minister to students at a Barnabas home located on campus. It was truly an amazing week of serving others, growing closer as a group, and growing in our faith. If you want to learn more about our week we will be sharing in worship on Sunday, July 25th and you can read more and see pictures at http://hinghamyouth.blogspot.com. Thanks to everyone for their prayers, donations, and support, and please remember to keep the continued work of Jackson County Ministries in your prayers.

HRC VBS 2010: July 26th-30th
We have experienced the vacation of a lifetime in Ancient Egypt this week. Over 130 children have learned that the ONE TRUE GOD gives us hope, special abilities, wisdom, forgiveness, and a family. Thanks to the more then 60 volunteers that made this journey incredible, especially our three co-chairs: Nancy DeJong, Shelly Dulmes, and Debbie Oonk. We hope you can join us this Sunday, August 1st at 9am, as we share our journey with our congregation and community.
Fall is Fastly approaching!
Although we may not be ready, fall is fastly approaching, and with it the starting up of many exciting ministries here at HRC. We will kick-off our fall ministries with a special worship service on Sweetwater lake on Sunday, September 12th. That will also be the first day of Sunday School. Our Wednesday Night Meals, Junior Choir, Senior Choir, Middle School Youth Ministry, and Bible class for grades 1-5 and 9-12 will start on Wednesday, September 8th. The meal starts at 6:00pm, junior choir and middle school youth at 6:30pm, and Bible class at 7:00pm. Youth Group and Bible class end at 7:45. Our youth ministry is a judgment free zone where students at all points in their faith can come. In fact, over half of our Middle School students are not from HRC families. Our Youth Ministry times feature exciting games, small group times, and high energy messages that use all types of media to show how God's word connects to teen life. Mission
Hingham Reformed Church is not simply a place to come to church, it is a place that sends people back out into the world to make a difference. HRC is a sponsor of many missionaries throughout the U.S. and the world, as well as conducting its own mission trips. Recent teams have done work in Houma, LA, Compton, CA, and Cameroon. HRC is also involved in helping those in need in our community through work days, supporting local food pantries and ministries, and meeting the specific needs of families who need a lift.
Music Ministry
We are blessed to have a diverse music ministry at HRC that is focused solely on worshiping God. Music groups include praise band, worship choir, junior choir, bell choir, high school praise orchestra, and middle school and high school praise bands. We are always looking for new members in all of these ministries, and no experience or audition is required. If you have musical gifts we would love to put them to use! Simply contact our music director, Julie VerVelde.

Full results in PDF format can be found to the right, as well as a photo gallery from race day.
