TODAY – 9AM Worldwide Communion Sunday – We welcome all those who are members in good and regular standing of other evangelical congregations to partake at the Lord’s table with us.  Pastor Steve leads us in worship.

- Everyone is invited to enjoy coffee and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall immediately following morning worship.

- 10:15 Sunday School

- 10:15 Pastor’s Class will meet in Pastor Steve’s

            office (lower level).

- 5:30 PM High School Youth Group

- 7 PM Evening Worship – Pastor Steve

Worship Choir with brass accompaniment

Freewill offering will be divided as Christmas gifts between ten missionary families.  Bring your family and friends for this uplifting, inspirational night.

A nursery will be provided.

 

CHURCH FAMILY NEWS

 

PRAYER CONCERNS:  Al Navis was in the hospital for several days with pneumonia and is now in Pine Haven Nursing.

- Dan Kolste and Loren Horswill as they continue to deal with health issues.

 

WE EXTEND OUR HEARTFELT SYMPATHY to June & Ed Kaat on the death of June’s sister, Doris Andrews, a week ago.  We commend them to the comforting mercies of our loving heavenly Father.

The Elders are willing to bring communion to those unable to come to worship.  Please call the church office if you would like Pastor Steve Bakker and an Elder to visit for communion, 564-2879.

“A Night of Song” Update . . . . .

         One Choir Row Still Needs Filling

 

Yes!.....we are still hoping for

more of you to join the choir on

Wednesday from 7:30-8:15 p.m.

for “A Night of Song” program

practice.  One of the songs we will

sing is “Wonderful Grace of Jesus”

and the other has a live brass sextet

accompanying us.  Forever His will be

at this practice as well as our brass

players.  We are thankful for the adults and high school students who made time to join us.  Hopefully, we’ll have a full choir loft and congregation for the Oct. 12 special program.

Attention Teachers:  If you have not completed and returned your Child Protection Policy yet, please do so and return it to either Pastor Andy or Kelly as soon as possible.  If you have lost/misplaced your previous copy, see Kelly Kolste for a new one.  Thanks!

 

The Middle & High School Youth Groups Faye’s Pizza Fundraiser deadline to order is next Sunday, October 12.

1.  Contact any student or sponsor involved in  youth group.

2.  Sign up on the order form in the narthex.

NOTE:  There will be no Mission of the Month offering through the end of the year.

 

BALLOTS for nomination of Elders and Deacons are in church mailboxes.  Ballot boxes are located in both entrances.  Deadline:  October 19.

 

CENTRAL COLLEGE will be hosting a visitation for prospective students on October 20th from 6-8 p.m. at First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls.

 

2008-2009 Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program information is posted on south bulletin board.

 

 

OUR HOME CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES could use your help.  We are looking for three bedroom dressers, a set of dishes, pots and pans, and other basic kitchen items. If you have any of these items to donate, please call the office (564-6933) to make arrangements for us to pick up.  Thank you.

“The Mustard Seed”  Matthew 13:31-33 How does the church grow; how does God’s kingdom come?  Jesus’ parable of the Mustard Seed offers us a clue about the way God’s work advances in the world.  Hint:  It doesn’t happen the way most people expect it would.
